Personal Biography

Drew Weidman was born in Ogden Utah. He lived in Tremonton, Utah and graduated from Bear River High School. While growing up, he worked on his family’s farm in Bear River City, Utah

He attended Brigham Young University, where he was an equipment manager for the BYU Football team. He was a part of BYU’s 1984 National Championship team. Drew graduated from BYU with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1985. He attended the University of Wisconsin – LaCrosse and received a Master of Science degree in 1986. He worked in Orlando, Florida before returning to Brigham Young University where he did further graduate work. He received a second Master of Science degree in Information Assurance from the University of Maryland University Campus in 2009.

Drew has worked in the computer industry since 1995. He has specialized in electronic messaging systems such as GroupWise and NetMail. Drew worked as a Messaging Engineer for Weber State University from 1999 to 2006. He holds multiple Novell certifications in NetWare, GroupWise and Linux.
