Personal Biography
Position: Assistant Professor, Computer Science.
Degree: 2006 – Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering, Arizona State Univerisity, Tempe, AZ.; 2000 – B.E. in Computer Science and Engineering from Bharathiar University, India.; 2011 – Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI); 2008 – Registered Patent Agent with the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
Current Field of Study: I would like to study and continue my research work (from my dissertation) in the field of bioinformatics. However, I’ve also been interested in pedagody and student learning. So I’m definitely looking to study, learn and contribute to that field as well.
Biggest Accomplishment in CS: Finishing my Ph.D.
Something Interesting: I'm originally from India, more recently from Phoenix, Arizona. I’ve wanted to teach at the college level pretty much my entire adult life. If I weren’t a Computer Scientist, (I’d like to think) I’d be a Physicist (if only I understood it!) but I might have also been a Psychologist or Anthropologist. Sometimes, I dream about getting another Ph.D.
