Faculty at the Center for Science and Mathematics Education at WSU extend science concepts and mathematical methods to surrounding schools and communities by:

• sharing science and mathematics resources and expertise
• coordinating formal and informal workshops for area teachers
• facilitating science activities at local schools for future student teachers
• obtaining external funding for teacher enhancement and science teaching research
• promoting participation on the state level in curriculum, certification and teacher performance activities.
