Recent activities by the students of the Department of Child and Family Studies include:
Students Win National Competition
Four students majoring in Family Studies -- Misty Burnett, Jacob Priest, Rachel Thompson, and Anne Vogel -- won the 2006 National Outstanding Undergraduate Research Award from the National Council on Family Relations. The students conducted this research as part of a class project for the research methods class taught by Paul Schvaneveldt. They will recieve the award at the National Conference on Nov. 11 in Minneapolis, MN and present their research at the national conference. This is the third time in the past four years that student in Family Studies at Weber State University have won this national competition.
