Program Admission

There is no application deadline for the Family Studies major. However, you must declare a major with the department advisor in ED248.

Please note: All individuals majoring in the Family Studies Program will be required to complete fingerprinting forms and receive background clearance from the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification prior to performing field experience. Completed fingerprint forms will be submitted to the Department of Child and Family Studies and, from there, sent to the Utah Bureau of Criminal Identification. Background checks take eight weeks to complete.
