Teacher Education Scholarship Information


The 2013-2014 Scholarship Application is now available on your 'WSU Student Portal'.  To be
considered for any WSU scholarships, you must complete the Weber State University
scholarship application annually. Priority deadline is January 13, 2014.
Academic scholarships will be awarded based on grade point average and the date when the scholarship application is submitted. Since there are more students applying for scholarships than there are available funds, the earlier you apply the more competitive you will be in receiving a scholarship.

To complete the Scholarship application, go to: https://www.weber.edu/
Log into your eWeber Student Portal to gain access to WSU's scholarship application.

a. Click on the Student Services tab
b. Click on the Scholarship Application in the Financial Service section
c. Fill in the fields and click the submit at the bottom of the screen

There are several scholarship options for students in Teacher Education programs. 

T. H. Bell Teaching Incentive Loan Program (2014-2015 academic year)




The Teaching Incentive Loan (TIL)  is funded by the Utah State Legislature.  TIL recipients are required to pursue a teaching degree, obtain state educator licensing, and the teach in Utah public schools for a period of time equal to the time they received loan monies. See the above link for additional information and application. Applications need to be turned in to the Teacher Education Advisement Center by February 1 each year. If you are chosen as a recipient, the loan will be awarded beginning Fall semester.

Weber State University Scholarships

Every year WSU offers close to $12 million in scholarships to new, continuing, and transfer students.  The Scholarship program at WSU serves students throughout their college career.  There are academic, activity, departmental, private sponsored, non-resident and graduate scholarships available.  In addition, there are need-based programs, called "special condition" or "sponsor awards."  The 2014-2015 Scholarship Application is now available.  To be considered for any WSU scholarships, you must complete the WSU scholarship application annually.  Priority deadline is January 13, 2014. 

To apply for scholarships login to your your eWeber Student Portal.  Click on the Student Services tab and then on Scholarships in the Financial Services channel.

Weber State University Alumni Association Scholarships. 

Scholarships are also available through the alumni association.  Please note that this link will be dead after each semester's deadline has past.



There may also be scholarships available through your individual departments.  Check with your major advisor for information.
