The Utah State Office of Education (USOE) has authorized the Teacher Education Department at Weber State University to offer a six day master’s level relicensure course. The course is MED 6920 “Current Issues, Topics and Practices in Education.” It will provide participants 100, 150 or 200 licensure points based on how many days/sessions are attended.
The 2014 session will be held from Monday, April 28 through Saturday, May 3, 2014. If you are interested in attending this course, please contact Lynda Goucher, the Master of Education Administrative Assistant at firstname.lastname@example.org or by phone at 801-626-6278. The following information would be helpful: name, address, email address, phone number, licensure area (elementary, early childhood, secondary, or special education), the level of the license to be renewed, and the number of points you need to relicense. She will then send you the introductory letter and an outline of how to register for the course through Continuing Education.
The specific credits and hours/days of attendance are based on the number of relicensure points needed. If you need to earn
- 0-100 points register for 2 credit hours, and you must attend all six sessions during the first 3 days. The cost is $859.64.
- 101-150 points register for 3 credit hours, and you must attend all sessions during the first 3 days plus your choice of 3 of the remaining 6 sessions. The cost is $1139.65.
- 151-200 points register for 4 credit hours, and you must attend all 6 days/12 sessions. The cost is $1419.66.
