Declaring Major/Minor

Choosing a major that fits with your interest, abilities, values and circumstances is crucial. The earlier in your academic career, the better.  You are required to have a declared major by the time 24 semester hours have been completed for an Associate Degree and by the time 48 semester hours have been completed for a Bachelor Degree.

Major Declaration

To declare a major in the Child and Family Studies Department, you must see Darcy Gregg, Academic Advisor, in ED248. You must fill out the Program of Study Declaration Form, which she will give you or you can download from this site. Please have your W# ready and available. Darcy will go over requirements needed for General Education and your major. She will also assign you a faculty advisor.

Minor Declaration

To declare a minor in Child and Family Studies Deparment, you must first have a major declared and then see Darcy Gregg, Academic Advisor, in ED248. You must fill out the Program of Study Declaration Form, which you may get from her or from your major department advisor or download from this site. Please have your W# ready and available. Darcy will go over requirements needed for the minor and will be your minor advisor.

Darcy Gregg is located in the McKay Education Building room 248. You are encouraged to make an appointment. Her appointment schedule is posted beside her door.
