All students who are taking the CHF 2610 or 2620 must pass a fingerprint department background check prior to taking either class. If you are taking this class prior to being admitted to the Teacher Education program, you have the option of completing the CHF background check now and waiting until you are admitted to the TE program to complete the USOE background check. The USOE background check is required to begin the TE levels and expires three years from the date you are cleared. It must be valid at the time you complete the program and apply for licensure. If you will not be completing the program within the next 3 years, you will have to be fingerprinted twice. The choice is yours as to which background check you complete now.
