Graduates work for engineering and architectural firms; manufacturing industries; research, construction and development companies; and cities, counties, state and federal governments. WSU graduates work for companies such as AutoLiv, Parker Hannifin, L3 Communications, WestTech Engineering, FFKR Architects, Turner Construction, Ivory Homes, and Nilson Homes.Starting Salaries Starting salaries vary depending on the region, workplace and skill level. Graduates with a bachelor of science degree can expect to earn $45,000-$52,000. Associate degree graduates can expect starting salaries of $30,000-$35,000. What will I learn in the program? You will be prepared to work in the creation of engineering and architectural drawings and models, technical manuals, reports, presentations, technical illustrations, interactive multimedia and animations for industry. You will prepare working drawings from design layouts, sketches and verbal instructions, using computer-aided design systems. You will complete single-detail drawings and drawing changes. Practical experience gained through internships and cooperative placements enhances classroom learning. |
