Admission & Selection

Enrollment in the on campus WSU clinical laboratory science BS degree program is limited to 30 students each fall semester.

Application Process

It is critical that all parts of your application process be completed and all required items submitted. Incomplete applications will not be considered. Please follow the instructions and download the application forms from our Application & Checklist page.

Deadlines

The application deadline for fall admission is May 1 each year.

Selection Process

Selections are made once each year during the months of May and June for admission to the program the following fall semester. Applications are evaluated using the CLS Selection Form which is based on the following criteria:

  • Grade point average in CLT courses (50 percent)
  • Cumulative Grade point average (20 percent)
  • Faculty assessment of student performance in CLT classes (30 percent), including:
    • overall laboratory skills
    • cognitive skills (points deducted for number of retake exams)
    • affective skills
    • CLT courses repeated

Selection Notification

You will receive a letter stating selection results no later than June 30.
