Northern Utah Area Health Education Center (NUAHEC)

The Dr. Ezekiel R. Dumke College of Health Professions at Weber State University is home to the office of the Northern Utah Area Health Education Center (NUAHEC) or (AHEC). The Northern Utah office serves Box Elder, Cache, Davis, Morgan, Rich and Weber counties.

The AHEC department aims to improve access to health care through educaiton. Our ultimate goal is to help eliminate the shortages of health care professionals in rural and other medically underserved communities. We are committed to assist and support students who are interested in achieving a career in health care. This is accomplished through:

  • Educating students and parents about careers in health professions (CTE presentations).
  • Supporting clinical training for health care students in rural and underserved areas.
  • Providing CME/CEU opportunities for health care professionals.
  • Hosting campus tours.
  • Creating various outreach partnerships.

Since the inception of the AHEC department at Weber State University we have reached 52,548 students through 2,252 presentations.
