In her new role, Koford will oversee the Brentwood-based hospital company's efforts to acquire facilities and lead its in-market growth and development initiatives. LifePoint, which focuses on providing health care in rural communities, owns 47 hospitals in 17 states.
"Jone is an invaluable member of the LifePoint senior management team, and I am pleased to have such a visionary health care veteran direct our efforts to grow into new markets," said LifePoint President and CEO William Carpenter in a statement.
