Weber State University's Department of Dental Hygiene offers two degree options: an Associate of Science and a Bachelor of Science -- the only bachelor's degree in dental hygiene available in Utah.
The Dental Hygiene Program is three years in length. The first year consists of prerequisite courses that may be taken at any college or university. The next two years (four semesters) must be taken on a full-time basis and include professional dental hygiene courses offered on the WSU campus. An optional fourth year leads to the bachelor's degree.
The national and local job market for dental hygienists is very good, and the top-notch education you'll recieve at WSU will help you succeed in this field. We invite you to explore these pages for more information about our program.
**Before scheduling an appointment with a Pre-Dental Hygiene advisor, please print the 'Dental Hygiene Applicant Checklist' and watch the 'Dental Hygiene Applicant Checklist Advising Video,' as many frequently asked questions will be answered.
