 Computer Engineering Technology Degree
The Computer Engineering Technology program is accredited by the Technology Accreditation Commission (TAC) of the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET)

 

The Educational Objective of the Computer Engineering Technology program is to produce graduates that are able to:

1.    Design, develop, install, and test embedded controllers and automated systems.

2.    Actively participate in teams and convey technical knowledge through written, visual, and oral methods.

3.    Move into supervisory positions or continue with advanced technical work within an appropriate amount of time following program completion.

4.    Exhibit a commitment throughout their career to professional ethics and social awareness.  


To support the Educational Objectives the following Program Outcomes are expected of all students upon graduation:

a.    Demonstrate a fundamental mastery of the knowledge, techniques, and skills used in analog and digital circuits and embedded controllers.

b.    Apply current knowledge and adapt to emerging applications of technology.

c.    Understand how to conduct, analyze, and interpret virtual and physical experiments in analog and digital circuits and embedded controllers.

d.    Understand the fundamentals of creative problem solving and apply them to circuits and systems.

e.    Function effectively on teams and apply project management techniques to computer systems.

f.     Identify, analyze, and solve analog, digital, and embedded controller problems.

g.    Demonstrate professional written, oral, and graphical communication skills.

h.    Understand the need for lifelong learning.

i.     Understand professional, ethical, and social responsibilities.

j.     Understand the importance of diversity as it relates to professional, societal, and global issues.

k.    Understand the importance of goals, quality, timeliness, and continuous improvement.
