Each year the A&H College will try to award at least ONE scholarship at the MYC banquet (held early in spring semester, open to high school juniors and seniors). This scholarship is worth $2,500 per year.
The scholarship will be awarded to a student who has the best blend of the following criteria:
Leadership and commitment as shown by co curricular activities in the arts and humanities and involvement in the community
Academic potential as shown by grade point average (with most recent semesters counting more heavily) and ACT scores
Financial need
Interest in a the arts and humanities as shown by willingness to declare a major in the A&H College (Communication, English, Languages, Performing Arts, Visual Arts)
Diversity that the applicant would bring to the A&H College
In order to maintain eligibility for the scholarship a recipient must:
Major in a program in the College of Arts & Humanities
Complete a minimum of 12 credits per semester while maintaining a minimum 2.5 GPA
