Bachelor of Integrated Studies
BIS Program
Requirements:

Grade Requirements:
*    Students should enter the program with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5, and must maintain a minimum grade of 2.0 in each course taken for the three areas of emphases.

*    Classes listed on the BIS contract must be taken for a letter grade; special exams, CLEP or credit/no credit are not allowed for contract classes.

*    Classes that have been taken to fulfill Gen. Ed. requirements cannot be used again as part of the BIS contract.

*    After being admitted to the program, a student must do at least 15 semester hours residency in the BIS program.

BIS Credit Hour Requirements:
Students must complete at least 18 credit hours in each of the three areas of emphases, totaling 54 credit hours. In addition to the 54 credits, BIS students are also required to take Education 3800, which is an introduction to the capstone course.  This class is taught the first ten Fridays of the semester and counts for 1 elective upper division credit.
Students must also take Education 4800, which is the capstone course, for 3 elective credits.

A BIS student will thus take 58 credits in the program, most of which will be upper division credit.

University Credit Hour Requirements:
In order to graduate from Weber, a student must accumulate a total of 120 credit hours, 40 of which must be upper division credits. The 58 BIS credit hours, most of which will be upper division hours, represent a part of the total 120 required hours.
