The Transfer Guide To find out how your course will transfer to Weber State University go to the Transfer Guide and search for your institution. Scroll down to find your course and the WSU equivalent will be listed to the right of the course. If you see a number followed by three Xs (i.e. 1XXX) for the WSU equivalent that just means we do not teach an equivalent course at WSU. You will still get credit for the course but it will be counted as elective credit. If you can not find your course in the Transfer Guide, the course probably has not been reviewed by the department. To have your course reviewed just submit it through the Transfer Request Form and we'll take care of the rest.
Weber State University accepts transfer credit from regionally accredited colleges and universities, and awards credit for competencies gained outside the university as measured by way of standard examination such as the College Level Examination Program (CLEP) and the Advanced Placement program (AP), the International Baccalaureate (IB), by special examination administered by individual departments, and by petition. Students transferring to WSU with an Associate of Arts or an Associate of Science degree earned at any institution within the Utah System of Higher Education (USHE) will be considered as having met the WSU general education requirements. Students transferring from a college or university within the USHE after having met that institution’s general education requirements, upon certification of the registrar at that institution, will be considered as having satisfied the WSU general education requirements. Credit for courses numbered 1000 or above for a semester course are transferable to WSU when earned at a USHE institution. Credit will be carried on the student’s transcript by WSU but may not apply towards certain degree requirements. WSU Academic Departments will determine transfer credits acceptable toward their majors. Credit for students transferring from regionally accredited colleges and universities outside the Utah System of Higher Education will be evaluated on a course-by-course basis.
