The George and Beth Lowe Teaching Award goes to a faculty member who has excelled in innovative teaching. The Lowe Award recipient receives a $500 cash award (less benefits and withholding taxes), and the recipient’s home department also received a $500 cash award.
Nominations for the Lowe Teaching Award are solicited from the academic deans. The final selection is made by the Provost and President, in consultation with the Lowe family. The Award recipients are recognized in an award banquet in mid-spring.
NOTE: Faculty are not eligible to receive a second award in the same category for five years.
